As the reelection bid of Governor Godwin Obaseki and his deputy Philip Shuaibu hots up, the campaign office on Friday in Benin City, the Edo State capital, inaugurated its Publicity Committee. The over 80-member strong body was drawn from among tested hands, including broadcasters, print journalists, social media influencers, bloggers, etc.
Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Crusoe Osagie, Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Communication, charged members to put in all that was needed to ensure adequate sensitization of the grassroots. According to him, he had no doubt that having been carefully selected, the team members had all it required to do a good job.

“I want to assure you that the job we need to do has started. I have no doubt that everyone having been carefully selected to be in this committee has all it takes to deliver. We’ve worked against some of you in the past in PDP and know that you’re tough. Now that we are in the same camp, we expect that you will now work even tougher to ensure victory,” Osagie said.
The committee members represent the 18 local government areas in the state.
Also present at the occasion, were among others, Dr. Don Pedro Obaseki, the Director of Media of the Godwin Obaseki/Philip Shuaibu Campaign Organization, as well as Efe Igbinovia, a top member of the committee.
